Recently made public

Visa liberalization, but the challenge remains for mental liberalization. The release of stereotypes and prejudices is a long and arduous process, but we must be prelezhime measles if they want to live in a society of equals and equal opportunities where diversity is cherished slogs and treated as an asset and not to discriminate. Instead column, this time I decided to bring you the interview I did with Christina Ozimec Radio MOF. This is the original version of the interview without interventions to cut the length of the text.
Recently made public "cumming out" through the column to the public and say: "Yes, it is true. I'm gay. "Homofobichnata atmosphere that currently reigns in the public sphere and the media would have changed his mind many of this decision. Why did you decide on this step?
- Many people have understood the message of my column, but there are those who, unfortunately, is not understood. I did not "cumming out" to advertise or build a career of it, but to emphasize the importance of valuing the individual according to the qualities possessed by such person of private and professional level, not by sex, race, color skin, national or social origin, religion, sexual orientation, political or other opinion, property, birth or other status.
- The government, instead of moving towards the promotion of equality and protection from discrimination, guided by its populist strategy continues with private statements and continuous campaigns that deepen slogs the stigmatization of LGBT people, making them even more vulnerable and exposed to possible violence hatred for the encouraging signals from the institutions of the system of impunity for perpetrators of such crimes in the past. If decriminalization of homosexuality in 1996 is the only progress in terms of improving the human rights of this marginalized community, slogs Macedonia then we find in the XIX century when Dutch homosexual act became legal in 1811.
Government in this group has taken responsibility to include sexual orientation in the law for the prevention of discrimination and protection as part of the roadmap for visa abolition. The first reading of the Law on Prevention and Protection from Discrimination in the Parliament passed a sexual orientation slogs as one of the bases for discrimination, then it was left to an amendment after the visions were abolished. Macedonia or VMRO-DPMNE slogs with this leadership, slogs the European Union staged audacious and inexpensively. The bitter taste left in Brussels and the European Commission repeats each year a report on the Republic of Macedonia. In relation to that question would be no failure of the EU. On the contrary! slogs And as we are to the forces that twist we have cheated the EU eventually themselves are being cheated, because family is built on the agreement, respect and trust. I guess right VMRO-DPMNE is a mouth full of topic of marriage and family, but the work shows that, except as vocabulary for getting votes, they have no idea what is the essence of marriage and family.
Incidentally, the Law on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection adopted in 2010 does not correspond to EU standards, and trade mechanism - the Commission for Protection against Discrimination is not an independent body that can effectively and efficiently protect victims of discrimination. Also, the law is not provided for positive action measures of the state aimed at building a society of equal and absent clear procedures that will provide citizens with protection from discrimination. In the current work of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination in several cases been found discrimination based on sexual orientation but, despite everything, sexual orientation remains outside the national legislation.
Beautiful and access to human rights of the LGBT community in the country is really worrying. People who are part of this community represent one of the most vulnerable and marginalized groups in society. Today, in our country, representatives of non-governmental organizations working on providing access to the community the right to life, freedom of movement, freedom of peaceful assembly slogs and association, freedom of speech and the basic need for public space without violence would open the possibility for socialization between people with different sexual orientation.
Analysis of reports of domestic and international organizations speak of violence, discrimination, humiliation and treatment to LGBT people as mentally disordered persons who should be exterminated as would not spread disease called homosexuality. Being openly gay is not at all easy, nor safe in this country where we all perceive as ill people who kill heteronormativnoto society and "healthy" religious values
